Photoshop Dramatic effect #2

This is an effect that add a lot drama in the face and make it looks sad you can find Dramtic effect #1 herebut the main defrent thing betweet the two effect it that this one add more quality to the Photo and this is for faces but the other is for any kind of photo, befor we start this is the result :

Now open your face photo and lets start.
1-Duplicate the Background layer and change its blend mode to Overlay:

2-Go to Filter>Other>High Pass then :

3-Go to Layer>New Adjustment >Gradient Map then :

4-Now go back to the background layer then duplicate it and drag it to the top:

Now drag it to the top :

5-Now go to Image>Adjustments>Shadow/Highlights then:

6-Finally if you want to make the effect more visible select the first Layer (the gray layer):

 Then Click on (Ctrl+J)  two or three times.
